A professionally qualified Mountain Guide by the Romanian Mountain Guides Association (AGMR) and a Ski Instructor with the Romanian Professional Ski Instructors Association (AMPSR-ISIA), Cosmin had a fairly solid career in academia before deciding for a full-time career as mountain guide in 2010. Cosmin on Idris Skis - I discovered the Lynx in 2013 at a demo in Chamonix. I was just back from a long expedition in Nepal, I was weak, off skis for several months and with a bad knee after a serious accident the spring before on the last day ski-guiding in the Carpathians. The snow conditions were typical of June: with crust and slush and I was neither keen on skiing nor confident my knee could take it. Nevertheless, mid day-cable car up, I set off on a Lynx and I was hooked. It felt precise but not choosy, it felt powerful but not physically demanding and floated great without being cumbersome.
